Turn Those Christmas Cards Into A Stylish Decoration

The average family receives several Christmas cards from friends, coworkers, family and neighbors. In many cases these cards get shoved in a drawer or are laying on a table somewhere and are never seen again, until spring cleaning. There are ways to turn these Christmas cards into a wonderful decoration and have them proudly displayed for all to see. Almost anything can be turned into a holiday creation with a little time. To start this project get all the cards together, decide what type of stringing device is best and make this cute decoration.
There are several items that can be used to string the Christmas cards together, almost making them a strand of garland like material. Ribbon, string, yarn are just about anything else can be used to put the Christmas cards on and then display them anywhere in the home. In order to attach the card to the string a hole must be placed in the back side of the card so that the string can run through the card and into the next. Other decorations can also be strung along with the cards helping to spruce up this decoration. It is a good idea to make sure that the other decorations or items are not too heavy, because they are likely to fall or sag. Pine Cones, wooden cut outs, greenery and Christmas berries are great ways to dress up the strand and make it look perfect.
These Christmas card strands can be draped over chairs, from doorways, across mantles or just about anywhere else that can hold them. They can dress up any room and also give guests something to view while they're visiting. This is often a favorite at gatherings and parties for everyone to get together and view all the wonderful Christmas cards that have been received. Many of these Christmas cards have photos or other memorabilia that families do not want to lose our throwaway. Making this decoration helps keep them in order, together and from being destroyed or lost. It is just an overall great way to make the decoration out of something that would normally sit in a drawer or on a table and collect dust.
The end of the strand of Christmas cards can be topped off with bows, ribbons or other Christmas decorations. This provides a closing point to the strand and also gives the person the ability to a fix it to the place that they desire the decoration.
